Downtown Asheville
Welcome to Downtown Asheville! This is the perfect place for you to rent or buy a condo, rent an apartment, have a hub for your area business, and have a great time out. Although there is little “new construction” being done in the city, there are major remodeling and addition projects being completed in some of the older and historic downtown buildings. Many of the subcontractors in our directory have been involved in these projects. With a wide variety of bars, restaurants, shops, and entertainment, area locals and visitors find many activites for a day or and evening out. Public transportation is available within the city limits with some bus lines running into the evening, on weekends, and private cab services is also available.
North Asheville
Merrimon Avenue is your ticket to Noth Asheville. When we say North Asheville, we mean it will take you about 5 minutes to drive downtown. Many homes are available for sale in this area and we have a list of local Real Estate Agents that can assist you in your search for the perfect piece of property or home. North Asheville / Merrimon Ave. is also a booming strip for a lot of local businesses. North Asheville is also home to UNCA, the University of North Carolina, Asheville. You will go through North Asheville to get to Woodfin NC, Weaverville NC, Mars Hill NC, and Marshall NC. Also, the Tennessee State Line is about 25 miles North of Downtown Asheville.
South Asheville
Biltmore Avenue is the direction you should head if you want to go to South Asheville. This would be about 5 minutes south of Downtown Asheville. There are many homes for sale in this area, great shopping in Biltmore Village, a railroad going through the area, and much more. Real Estate in the Biltmore area has skyrocketed in the past 5 years and it is well worth it. South Asheville is home to Memorial Mission Hospital and the AB Tech Community College. You will go through South Asheville to get to Skyland NC, Arden NC, Fletcher NC, Hendersonville NC, and Lake Lure NC.
East Asheville
Tunnel Road is the street to get to East Asheville. East Asheville is home to the VA Hospital. Land and Construction development is going strong in this area. New office parks, shopping centers, and restaurants are increasing daily. You are only about 5-7 minutes to Downtown Asheville. Many land, properties, homes for sale, and building lots are available to accommodate your every need. The “Asheville Mall” and Oakley is also in this direction. This is the most popular mall in Asheville and has many stores. On the Tunnel Road strip there are many other stores and restaurants such as Best Buy, Target, Pier 1, Wal-Mart, K-Mart, Franks Pizza, Chili's, Applebees, Olive Garden, Red Lobster, Carraba's, and many more. This is the “Hotel Strip” with many big hotels available and others in the construction process. You will go through East Asheville to get to Fairview NC, Oteen NC, Swannanoa NC, and Black Mountain NC.
West Asheville
Patton Avenue is the main street you will take to get to West Asheville. There is a lot of Building and Development going on in this area of Asheville. Single family homes, townhouses, business centers, restaurants, and more are available and under construction. The Patton Ave. strip is a commercial strip while Haywood Road is more of a community strip of businesses in a local residential district. The residents and business owners around Haywood Road are putting a lot of effort into building the West Asheville area. The Asheville School, which is a charter school is on Patton Ave. You go through West Asheville to get to Enka NC or Candler NC.
